Amazon Alexa Skill

Compatibility: most Amazon devices with Alexa

The Hymns Radio skill will allow the user to start the music stream at Hymns Radio by saying “Alexa, play hymns radio”. To stop the music stream, the user can say “Alexa, stop”.

TuneIn Mobile App

Compatibility: most mobile devices

TuneIn is a free app for Blackberry, iPhone, Android, Nokia, and other mobile devices. The app includes banner ads, but allows for multi-tasking on your mobile device.

  • Download TuneIn
  • Launch TuneIn
  • Search for “Hymns Radio”
  • Select Hymns Radio
  • Add to favorites for future use

iTunes/Music Internet Radio Station

Compatibility: Windows and Mac

Hymns Radio can be added to iTunes/Apple Music as an internet radio station. The following instructions are for a Mac running OSX.

  • Launch iTunes (or the Music app for OS X Catalina and later)
  • Select File > Open Stream
  • Type or paste the following text into the URL dialogue box (note you must remove the line break in the link; the link should all be on one line when you paste it into iTunes/Music):
    http://listen.hymnsradio.com:8006
  • Press OK

You can also find Hymns Radio in the list of streaming Internet Radio stations in iTunes by doing the following:

1. Choose Music from the pop-up menu at the top left.
2. Click the Library button in the navigation bar near the top.
3. Select Internet Radio in the sidebar on the left. If you don’t see Internet Radio, choose Edit (next to Library in the left sidebar), select the Internet Radio checkbox, then click Done.
4. Click the Internet Radio button — looks like a broadcasting tower.
5. Select Religious from the list of genres (click to reveal all stations).
6. Scroll down to find Hymns Radio in the list and double-click to listen to our stream.
